An Utterly Impartial History of Britain: (or 2000 Years Of Upper Class Idiots In Charge) by John O'Farrell, continues, and we have the British Parliament controlling the Monarchy, Agricultural and Industrial Revolutions, as well as the storming of the Bastille in the French Revolution, while the British played Whist.
Incidentally, the political left and right come from the French assembly, where the royalists sat on the right, and the radicals sat on the right.
While Napoleon has not yet arrived, this is an excuse to share one of my favourite songs, which contains the line:
"While Pitt stood helpless, we were waiting for Bonaparte"
Still reading "Imajica" by Clive Barker on my Kindle. This is a book I never want to end. When I finish it, I just restart it.
I recently discovered that my American Amazon Author page has a feed from this blog, which you can see here. It only shows on the .com site but not on others. C'est la vie.
The music is "The Colours" by The Men They Couldn't Hang
