Law, Chaos And The Balance

"The Skrayling Tree" by Michael Moorcock is moving faster. Ulric and Lobokowitz have left the caverns of Nihrain to hopefully find Ulric's wife, Oona, Elric's daughter. They gallop over Ash and Lava pursued by a wind demon. They ride through idyllic but empty lands, the result of total Law.

Their main mission is to protect the Balance. Total Law results in stagnation and death, total Chaos results in anarchy and entropy. The balance stops this.

Although this is a reread, I can't remember the actual outcome, but I am enjoying the ride.

Ulric carries the Black Blade, "Stormbringer".

Still reading "Imajica" by Clive Barker on my Kindle. This is a book I never want to end. When I finish it, I just restart it.

I recently discovered that my American Amazon Author page has a feed from this blog, which you can see here. It only shows on the .com site but not on others. C'est la vie.

Seventies Copendium

A fifth of the way through "Copendium" the 700-page treatise on music by Julian Copeand we are into the 1970s, with Alice Cooper, Be Bop Deluxe and a 20-page sequence on the Blue Öyster Cult. This is all music that I am familiar with but think it will be a while before I am finished with this.

The book itself is printed on very thick paper so it is a fairly hefty tome.

The music is "Hot Rails To Hell" by The Blue Öyster Cult
