An Utterly Impartial History of Britain: (or 2000 Years Of Upper Class Idiots In Charge) by John O'Farrell, and after sixty pages, we have gone through a few kings, and William decided it was his turn. The book is pleasant and gently humorous. Whether this is true or not, I don't know, but O'Farrel posits that the name Northumberland came as a contraction of Land North Of The River Humber.
I am still reading "Imajica" by Clive Barker on my Kindle. This is a book I never want to end. When I finish it, I just restart it.
