An Utterly Impartial History of Britain: (or 2000 Years Of Upper Class Idiots In Charge) by John O'Farrell, continues, and we have been through a load of Henries (Or Is It Henrys?), stopping at Henry VIII, and then an Edward, and now we have had the nine-day queen, Lady Jane Grey, Blood Mary (who gave her name to a drink), Mary Queen of Scots (an odd title) who spent nineteen years locked up before being executed by Elizabeth, who actually did a decent job.
Apparemtly Henry VIII composed "Greensleeves", and when Mary Queen of Scots was executed, the executioner made a mess, and after her beheading her body started to move. It was her puppy that was hidden in her clothes.
