This Is Getting More Disturbing By The Page

"The Blood Crows" by Simon Scarrow, is getting into very disturbing territory, extremely violent and scary but still an excellent read. Slipping into how good men can be cowed and quieted when everyone falls in line with the violent bully, but there may be some hope. I will let you know.

"The King Of Elfland's Daughter" by Lord Dunsany is still rather excellent Orion, son of Lirazel and Alveric looks like he is going to leave the land of men and go to Elfland, as he is half-elf.

I recently discovered that my American Amazon Author page has a feed from this blog which you can see here. It only shows on the .com site but not on others. C'est La Vie.

The music is "Beyond The Fields We Know" by Mary Hopkin, Bob Johnson and Pete Knight

No Romans In Elfland

"The Blood Crows" by Simon Scarrow, which is a Roman War thing, is not my cup of tea, I am finding it a bit like a history lesson. It's not bad enough to ditch but not too enthralling for me.

"The King Of Elfland's Daughter" by Lord Dunsany is a different kettle of fish. I love it although some of the language is a little flowery and repetitive. A wonderful story of love and loss with heaps of magic and fantasy, and some extreme violence.

I recently discovered that my American Amazon Author page has a feed from this blog which you can see here. It only shows on the .com site but not on others. C'est La Vie.

The music is "Seven Hundred Elves" by Steeleye Span.

Blood Crows And The King Of Elfland's Daughter

"The Bone Season" by Samantha Shannon,  is a brilliant read but now finished but cliff-hanging into the second book "The Mime Season"

Meanwhile I have started on "The Blood Crows" by Simon Scarrow, which is a Roman War thing, not my cop of tea, but I like the title and rescued it from a local street book exchange. I am forty pages in after two days, so it has got me on board.

I am also enjoying "The King Of Elfland's Daughter" by Lord Dunsany I was aware of this but came across the song "Lirazel" and then the album and the book, and it is rather excellent.

The music is "Lirazel" by Mary Hopkin from the album "The King Of Elfland's Daughter"
